Westbrook Soccer Club Recreation Program
The Recreation Program is an in-house league for Westbrook kids, ages 3-7 in the fall and extending up through age 10 for the spring. The objective of this program is to introduce the basics of soccer from proper kicking technique through game scenario play to prepare our players for transition to the travel program. The recreation program offers an informal spring clinic session consisting of a weekly 6-week session of basic skill introduction and scrimmage, and the traditional fall house league. The fall league consists of weekend games and one weeknight practice for the older groups.
REC Programs
Spring 2025
Ages 3-10 (boys and girls Pre-k through 4th grade): Six sessions will take place Wednesdays, April 30, May 7, 14, 21, 28 and June 4 from 5:30-6:30 at Small Hardy Road Fields.
The Rec Spring Clinic sessions, will consist of 2-3 stations where we'll practice footskills, passing and shooting; and then 20-30 minutes of scrimmage. There will be no teams and station groups will be broken up by age. Please bring a ball, shin guards, water, and cleats/sneakers.

Fall 2025
The Recreation Program will start early September and will run for six weeks usually through the end of October. The U4-U5 age group will have one Saturday session for 1 hour (40-minute practice and 20-minute scrimmage) every week. The U7-U8 teams will have one Wednesday practice for 1 hour and one Saturday game (15 minute warmup, and four 10-minute quarters) every week. The U8 age group will play as a single team on the full field to begin learning game scenarios.
